Melkein 12 vuoden jälkeen, Bleak-yhtye on päättänyt lopettaa toimintansa. Syyt ovat lukuisia mutta päällimmäisenä ovat yhtyeen sisäiset ja musikaaliset erimielisyydet. Bändin miehistössä on tapahtunut tietynlaista jakautumista missä haluttiin kulkea eri suuntiin ja nyt tultiin pisteeseen jossa ei ollut enää mahdollista toteuttaa tätä bändiä yhdessä siten että kaikki olisivat onnellisia.
Päätöksen taustalla ei ole mitään suurta draamaa eikä ketään osoitella sormilla, ja tämä on lopulta kuitenkin se parempi päätös. Kaikki ovat tässä haikeilla mielin koska on paljon hyviä yhteisiä muistoja - mutta myös helpottuneita koska sisäiset ongelmat ovat olleet suuri henkinen rasite ja syy unettomiin öihin monen vuoden ajan, ja nyt jokainen voi viimein "hengittää vapaasti".
Kaikki jäsenet aikovat kuitenkin vakaasti jatkaa musiikin tekemistä omilla tahoillaan ja näistä tullaankin tulevaisuudessa kuulemaan - jokainen jäsenistä toivoo toisilleen menestystä näissä projekteissa eikä välillemme jää mitään hampaan koloon, kukaan ei kanna kaunaa mistään.
Bleak haluaa kollektiivisesti kiittää kaikkia ihmisiä jotka ovat tukeneet meitä alusta loppuun asti, aina faneista, ystävistä ja läheisistä ihmisistä Helsinki Music Companyn, Warnerin ja Popgramin henkilökuntiin. Kiitos teille kaikille, te teitte tämän matkan mahdolliseksi ja bändin perintö jää elämään teidän ansiostanne.

After almost twelve years of rocking, the members of Bleak have decided to call it quits. There are number of reasons for this, but mainly the inner and musical differences within the band. The group has divided throughout the years to a point where we could go no furter with everyone being happy.
There was no greater drama involved however and nobody's pointing fingers or anything - eventually this was the only right decision to be made. Of course we all feel kind of sad cause we've shared so many good memories together - but at the same time we are all relieved. Our differences have been a burden for all of us through years of sleepless nights, and now finally we all can breathe freely.
All the members of the band will continue making music on their own - you will surely hear of them in the future. We all wish good luck to each other with these projects and hold no grudge for anything, everything has been settled between us.
Bleak would like to collectively thank all those of you who have supported us from the beginning to the very end; all the fans, friends, families, and the people in Helsinki Music Company, Warner and Popgram. Thank you all for making this journey possible. The legacy of the band will live on because of you.
